April 14, 2015- Monthly Meeting
The Fair Tax - Everyone, including Presidential hopefuls, is talking about tax
reform these days. Our speaker, Steve Curtis (with the Ohio Fair Tax Group), introduced us to the
FairTax - the only tax reform proposal that creates millions of new jobs, strengthens American
businesses, and gets rid of the IRS.
March 10, 2015- Monthly Meeting
Local Westerville City police officers joined us to discuss the Militarization of Law
Enforcement. Fantastic historical information about how Law Enforcement grew up was presented.

For February, the group reviewed the survey and worked in small work groups.
January 13, 2015- Monthly Meeting
Greg Lawson of the Buckeye Institute joined us to discuss the breadth of local governments in Ohio
and the need to be vigilant on watching them so we can keep local taxes in line, as those taxes are
now as much of a problem as state taxes.
December 9, 2014 - Monthly Meeting
The Westerville Area Resource Ministry shared with us and helped us
understand their mission better this evening. We collected food for their pantry. Learn

Afterwards, we hosted a Christmas Party for the group. We auctioned off a handmade,
patriotic quilt and shared some goodies to celebrate.
November 20, 2014 - Movie Night
America - The 9.12 Project group joined us for our movie night featuring
Dinesh D'Aouza's "America."
Our founding fathers warned us that, although the freedoms they gave us were hard fought,
they could very easily be lost. America stands at a crossroads, and the way we understand
our past will determine our future. America the movie takes 21st-century Americans into the
future by first visiting our past.
Someone once observed: "America is great because she is good; if she ever ceases to be good
she will cease to be great."
November 11, 2014 - Monthly Meeting
Campaign for Liberty - After saluting our veterans, Don Stephenson educated
the group about Campaign for Liberty. He discussed how the group came to be, their mission,
the types of issues they focus on and how their model of activism works.
October 14, 2014 - Monthly Meeting
Dr. Dave Garrison: host of Faith and Liberty Talk Show -
former candidate for Congress, top executive, dean of Ohio
Christian University School of Business, and licensed attorney.
Dave gave us real information and the evidence to back up these statements. Dave
has a talent for showing how government policy is to blame, as well as the
steps that we need to take in order to turn this nation around to once again
be '...great because she is good.'
September 9, 2014 - Monthly Meeting
All State Rep. candidates were invited to a candidates night. (Gonzales
wouldn't come with another candidate present.) Chad took the floor and
introduced himself to the group.

Taking advantage of the beautiful summer weather, the group had a picnic so we could spend
time getting to know each other. Great food and great fun!
July 22, 2014 - Special Event
We Will Not Conform - We attended local venues for the nationally broadcast,
live event featuring Michelle Malkin and David Barton. It was an interactive experience where
theatregoers worked with experts in pursuit of real, tangible strategies to wake up our
friends and neighbors and make our voices heard in pursuit of the elimination of Common Core

|The Blue Star Moms - "mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers and female legal
guardians who have children serving in the military, guard or reserves, or children who
are veterans. We support each other and our children while promoting patriotism. Our
organization focuses on our mission every single day and will never, ever, forsake our
troops, our veterans or the families of our Fallen Heroes."
June 10, 2014 - Monthly Meeting
||The Electoral College: Original Intent, How It's Broken and Why It Still Works.
In the course of the presentation, we saw how the Electoral College is about the
last vestige of state sovereignty left. We continualy witness the attempts by
"progressive" states to kill it or render it moot by awarding electoral votes on the
national popular vote rather than the statewide vote or on the basis of the
(original intent) vote in a given congressional district.

The group joins Ohioans Against Common Core at the statehouse in a rally for the repeal
of Common Core.

This was a great opportunity to learn more about the cost of Illegal Immigration - for
both the immigrants and Americans!

|"Disaster Preparedness" - The topic this night was about basic preparedness. Do you have enough
food and water to make it thru a week without electricity? What about an ice storm? Did you remember
your medicines & your pets? We learned what you should prepare for and how and how you begin to
prepare along with many other tips and information for you and your family.

||The Energy From Thorium Foundation is a US-based not-for-profit organization dedicated
to advancing the research, development and deployment of safe, clean and affordable energy. Our
guest speaker was from the foundation and presented on the topic of energy from Thorium.

Constitution Party, their platform and what they are up to in Ohio. It was a very informative

We thank Carol Bicking for coming out and educating us on the Ohio Voter Integrity Project.
Carol shared with us how you can get involved with data research and help the integrity
of the voting process in Ohio.

The Westerville TEA Party hosted Mr. Randy Auler, the Westerville Parks & Rec
Mr. Auler shared with us how the city's Park & Rec department is doing and where they are
heading. What a great opportunity to continue to learn about the city!

July 9, 2013 - Monthly Meeting
The Westerville TEA Party hosted Mr. David Collinsworth, the Westerville City
. Mr. Collinsworth brought along Mayor Cocuzzi, Council Chair Mike Heyeck, and Council
Member Jennifer French.
Mr. Collinsworth shared with us how the city is involved with economic development (i.e. job creation),
City Services (i.e. parks, electric, street maintenance, etc.), and Safety (Police & Fire). What a great
opportunity to learn about the city!

We joined the community for Westerville's 4th Friday event. Our members did face
painting for dozens of kids as well as passed out flag themed bracelets and temporary tattoos.

May 14, 2013 - Monthly Meeting
||The Westerville TEA Party raised $1,250 for the local ministry
- WARM (Westerville Area Resouce Ministry - www.warmwesterville.org).
The funds will be used by WARM to purchase a school bus that will be used to help further expand
WARM's ministry to our community.
April 9, 2013 - Monthly Meeting
Local resident and Ohio State Representative Anne Gonzales spoke to the group. Representative
Gonzales discussed the legislative process, how to work with your State Rep. and discussed some
of the legislature currently making its way thru the process in Ohio.
March 15, 2013 - Movie Night
FrackNation - We hosted the movie FrackNation. The documentary
discusses the drilling method known as "Fracking" and the biased controversy that has surrounded it.
March 12, 2013 - Special Speaker
Nationally known speaker, writer and physician - Dr. C.L. Gray joined us for our monthly
meeting. Dr. Gray, from North Carolina, was in Columbus testifying before the Ohio House
and was able to join us this evening. Dr. Gray heads up the organization "Physicians
for Reform" - http://www.physiciansforreform.org/
February 12, 2013 - Monthly Meeting
Author and political analyst Matt Mayer joined us to discuss his book "Taxpayers Don't Stand A
Chance." All in attendance were given a copy of the book.
January 8, 2013 - Monthly Meeting
For our January meeting, we hosted Bob Silliman the state coordinator for the Agenda 21
Coalition. Bob came out to educate us on what Agenda 21 is and how to work with our local
representatives on the issue.
December 11, 2012 - Monthly Meeting
For our December meeting, we heard from the group Oath Keepers.
Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military,
reserves, National Guard, veterans, Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill the Oath
we swore, with the support of like minded citizens who take an Oath to stand with us, to support
and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.
Our Oath is to the Constitution. Our motto is "Not on our watch!"
October 9, 2012 - Monthly Meeting
We hosted a candidates night and heard from 4 candidates in attendance: Chris Long for U.S.
House of Representatives, Valoria Hoover for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas, Philip Gerth
for state board of education and Sharon Kennedy for the Ohio State Supreme Court.

Before turning our attention to what we could do to help candidates for the general election, we
spent some time reflecting on the September 11, 2001 attack on our nation. We thanked those at
the meeting for either their military or first responder service.

Candidate for the U.S. House of Representative - 3rd District, Chris Long, was with us this
evening discussing his candidacy and campaign.
June 12, 2012 - Monthly Meeting
Former TV personality Ben Piscotelli from the Franklin County Board of Elections presented to us.
Ben discussed the BOE, how they work and how you can be involved - i.e. being a poll worker. Ben
was a great speaker and his presentation was enjoyed by the group.
May 8, 2012 - Monthly Meeting
What a great presentation! Our friend, Jim Beck, presented on "Disaster Readiness." From a wind
or ice storm to other disruptions, Jim taught us what it takes to be prepared. Do you have
enough food & water just to make it a week without electricity due to a wind storm? We learned:
What you should prepare for, how you should prepare, how you even begin along with many other
tips and information for you and your family.
March 27, 2012 - Movie
Many in the group attended the nationwide, in-theatre movie released by Kirk Cameron titled
"Monumental." It was a great time to meet in an informal setting but learn more about the
founding of our country.

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary! We reviewed our accomplishments along with those we had
the opportunity to help.
February 14, 2012 - Monthly Meeting
Representatives from the Westerville South Young Conservatives group returned. They were there
thanking us for helping them raise funds to help them attend CPAC this year.
January 26, 2012 - Special Event
In conjunction with the New Albany/Gahanna 9.12 Project, we hosted the "Tax Town Hall" event at
the Westerville Library moderated by local radio personality Chuck Douglas. Robert Wagner & Bill
Yarbrough were panelists on the discussion about forms of tax collecting - from progressive
tax structures to the likes of the fair tax. This was a great educational opportunity.
January 5, 2012 - Monthly Meeting
In attendance was Joe Garrett, a Delaware County township trustee. Joe is running for County
Commissioner and was invited to talk about his campaign.
December 13, 2011 - Monthly Meeting
At our December meeting, we were fortunate enough to meet some of the students from the
Westerville South Young Conservatives club. In addition, Bill Yarbrough discussed his candidacy
for U.S. House of Representative.
October 11, 2011 - Monthly Meeting
For the October meeting, we hosted a candidate's night and invited all school board candidates.
We had the opportunity to get to know the candidates in attendance and learn more about how
they plan to represent the taxpayer while on the school board.
August 9, 2011 - Monthly Meeting
The campaign manager for Ohioans for Healthcare Freedom came out and discussed the Amendment
that will be on the ballot in the fall.
July 4, 2011 - Parade
The Westerville TEA Party had an entry in the Westerville 4th of July parade. We appreciated the
wonderful reception so many gave us this day!
June 14, 2011 - Monthly Meeting
Grassroots Training - Americans for Prosperity's Director of Policy, and past Ohio State
Representative, Seth Morgan joined us to talk about joining the grassroots effort to see Ohio
become prosperous, once again!
